Serenity Rose counselling offers Online & Telephone counselling:

Video (webcam) / Audio Counselling

Using Zoom allows us to see each other as you would face-to-face in a counselling room but online, on a computer/mobile device and in the comfort of your own home. Seeing each other allows us both to experience the verbal and non-verbal communication. You can choose to have the camera off, if this feels uncomfortable for you.

You will need a private room and good internet connection.

Email Counselling

By using email, it offers you the opportunity to consider what you wish to say and re-read it before sending.

There is a time delay between email exchanges, which allows time to reflect.

You will be guided to set up a secure email account.

Due to the time delay, if urgency is a priority for you, or you are experiencing mental distress, this is not a recommended form of counselling.

Telephone Counselling

This counselling is done by communicating over the phone. Although there is no visual, the tone and pace of voice can be picked up. You need to be in a private room, where you will not be overheard.

You will be called from a private number at the time of the session.

- Secure inscription software offers confidentiality and peace of mind

- When using email, you can review it before sending

- Some find it easier to express their feelings by writing them down

Things to consider:

- Are you comfortable using internet technology?

- Would you prefer to see your counsellor face to face?

- Do you feel you can express your feelings by using words?

- Do you have a private room, without interruption?

- Written communication can sometimes be open to misunderstanding.
